The South West Finance Academy is a stand-alone body that aims to give everyone in the South West that allows learning and growth through our inclusive training and development opportunities. We are here to support the local implementation of the One NHS Finance programmes and go beyond this to offer the best training and support for the community in the South West. We aim to be a one-stop-shop and bring together One NHS Finance, the Skills Development Network, HFMA and the NHS Leadership Academy.
The governing body of the South West Finance Academy is the Finance Leadership Executive (FLE). The FLE is chaired by Sarah Brampton, Chief Finance Officer at University Hospitals Plymouth NHS Foundation Trust and our deputy chair is Simon Truelove, Director of Finance at Avon and Wiltshire Mental Health Partnership NHS Trust. The FLE made up of two representatives from each system, the HFMA local branch chair, the regional NHSE team, and an SDN representative.
